We're running a marathon to support Guide Dogs SA/NT!
Hi I’m Warren, my friend Oscar and I are challenging ourselves and aiming to raise money to support Guide Dogs SA/NT… and we need your help!
Unsure, nervous, unknown and anxious – These are some of the ways you might feel going into something ‘blind’ in the metaphorical sense of the word. For myself and approximately 34,000 other people in South Australia with low vision or blindness, going into something blind takes on a physical sense of the meaning. I’m not letting my low vision stop me though. With the help of my good friend Oscar as my Human Guide, we are taking on the Newcastle Marathon!
Why are we doing this? Beside the goal of completing the marathon, we are raising funds to support Guide Dogs SA/NT to change the lives of people who are blind or have low vision.
Every hour, every day, an Australian learns that they will lose their sight. If you are in a position to help, please sponsor us and show your support for South Australians living with disability.
