My name is Lilyana. I live with retinitis pigmentosa, and for years, getting around on my own felt unsafe.
Even with a white cane, I had close calls with traffic and avoided busy places because I was afraid of making a mistake.
Then I was matched with my Guide Dog, Puzzle. Everything changed.
With Puzzle, I can move through the world safely and confidently. She makes split-second decisions to protect me, something I couldn’t always do on my own. I haven’t had a single close call since.
