Choose a fundraising idea
This could be anything at all; from a casual day or pupcake stall, to giving up your birthday presents. For more ideas, check out the ‘ways to fundraise’ page.
Think about fundraising with a group.
Fundraising with a team of friends or colleagues will help keep you motivated, plus it’s always great to have some extra support!
Create your own personal fundraising page.
Once you have chosen an idea, the next step is to create your own fundraising page online by clicking the ‘register’ button at the top of the page.
Don’t be afraid of setting your goal high.
You will be surprised at just how much you can achieve once you get started.
Update your personal page.
It’s a great opportunity to share your story with your supporters and let them know why you’re fundraising for Guide Dogs (it will definitely help encourage them to support you with a donation)
Make the first donation.
Show your supporters that you’re serious about raising money and set a good example by making the first donation to your page.
Thank your supporters.
Don’t forget to thank the people who have contributed to your fundraising efforts – it’s super easy through your fundraising page, simply click the ‘thank’ button below their donation on your page!
Tell everyone what you’re doing.
The best way to get support from people is to tell them what you’re up to! Share what you’re doing (and your fundraising page) with your friends, family and colleagues via email, text, Facebook, or even carrier Pidgeon! However you choose to do it, get the word out there and tell people what you’re doing.
Send us your pics!
We’d love to see how your fundraiser is going, so send us a pic or tag us in your social media pics using #suppawtguidedogs, we’d love to share it on our fundraiser.
