Community Talks

Guide Dogs’ Community Talks program offers organisations, community groups, and tertiary institutions a unique and engaging opportunity to learn more about our services from one of our dedicated community speakers.

Our Community Talks program covers various educational topics and can cater to a variety of audiences, ranging from primary school age students to corporate offices and community groups. These include:

  • Guide Dogs
  • Autism Assistance Dogs
  • Therapy Dogs
  • Vision Services
  • Adaptive Aids and Technology
  • Puppies in training
  • Puppy Raising

As a non-profit organisation, Guide Dogs relies heavily on donations from the community to provide vital services to people living with vision impairment and families of children with autism. As such, we ask organisations that wish to book a Community Talk to contribute a minimum $100 donation in order to help support these services. If you do not have the funds immediately available, we have a variety of fundraising options that can assist you in raising the minimum $100 donation. For more ideas, you can visit our fundraising website.
